This is your chance to work on real-world security challenges, learn from experienced professionals, and make a tangible impact on Australia’s cyber resilience.

What You'll Do

  • Penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across applications, networks, and systems
  • Red teaming and scenario-based security exercises
  • Translating technical findings into clear, actionable advice for clients
  • You’ll work closely with senior specialists who will mentor and support your growth, while giving you the autonomy to explore and innovate.

About the program

  • Week 1: Orientation
  • Weeks 2-8: Intensive training period, including industry certification enrollment (OSCP)
  • Weeks 9-12: Operational upskilling and exposure – work directly with a senior member of the Division 5 assurance team, assisting on their engagements and learning the ropes of our delivery process.
  • Weeks 13-26: Supervised pentesting – assist and conduct penetration testing engagements under the guidance of senior staff, who are there to support and mentor you throughout the process.
  • Week 27: Graduate as an Associate Offensive Security Specialist.

What We’re Looking For

We’re after curious, driven individuals who love solving complex problems and thinking like an attacker. Ideally, you have:

  • Hands-on experience with offensive security tools (e.g., Nmap, Burp Suite, BloodHound)
  • Participated in Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions or similar challenges
  • Built or developed applications—whether at work or in your own time
  • A self-starter mindset and a passion for continuous learning
  • Strong communication skills are essential—you’ll need to explain technical issues in plain language and build trust with clients and stakeholders.
  • Australian citizenship with the ability to obtain AGSVA Baseline security clearance
